Well this past weekend was the first 2 shows for our second guitar player and it went great! The Reverb and Bash on the Farm were killer shows and we got allot of good feedback on the new sounds and textures we had with 2 guitars.

For the bad news Friday night Gary's bass amp burned up we could smell it on stage, luckily there was bass back-line of Ampeg gear for Bash on the Farm for us to use.

Then to make things worse...After Bash on the Farm on the way home we hit a deer and messed up or transportation pretty good. It took us an extra 4 hours to get home because the dear smashed the radiator and we had to stop and fill it with water every 10-15 min.

"the dear smiled at us like it was saying hi guys, right before we shredded it...it took a couple of quick swings at us but it was no match for the Tahoe "

So pray for us so we can get Gary's bass amp fixed and get a new van.

We are canceling the shows for the next couple of weeks to take care of all of this, so make sure all of you still go to the Java Joint in St.Cloud this weekend to check out Fear Not a great band, these guys are good friends of ours so go support them!

Hey levenheads! We got some good news for you! We won the first round of the club 3 degrees band tournament last night! We will be going back for round 2 on Jan. 28th, so everyone within a 200 mile radius should be there to rock out on one of the best stages and sound systems in the U.S. of A. Thanks goes out to all that served us and made the experience killer at Club 3 degrees (thanks especially to amber and Ben)!! you guys are awsome!! Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay in getting the news out to you. We have been very busy. We are officially signed to a management deal with Justin Hawley at 3rd Diamond out of Rochester, Mn. www.3rddiamond.com. We also just signed a distribution deal with Resilient Sounds. They are a division of Sony Red. You will be able to purchase Leven at Wallmart, Best Buy, Target, Circuit City, and many others. We will let you know more as this develops. Look for our new ad in HM magazine for November/December. This also means we are due for a new CD. We are currently in preproduction for a new CD. We already have one new song up on www.myspace.com/levenmusic. The song is called Rending thorns. Download it and tell everyone about it. We promise to deliver the best Leven CD to date. the songs are sounding amazing! God is good! Keep praying for that to keep coming. Hello everyone! We are very busy this month with shows and recording. Never fear, the new demo will be here! We are writing a ton of new material and hope to have a full length out soon. We just had two new shows added: April 2nd, this Sat., in Minneapolis,Mn. called Auggie fest. It is free with a canned donation, and it's all ages, AND, it's with Seventh Day slumber! Doug pretty much has his studio done so we should be bustin' in there soonly with another band to hopefully put out a split ep. we have yet to decide who that other band is yet. Actually we haven't really thought a ton about it, we have been so busy with our normal everyday life. We are working on writing new material so thats also rocks. Why hello everybody, Mark here. Sorry it has been so long since the last update. I had just recently moved and the computer was down for a while, but now I got it up and running!

We got a lot of cool things happening with leven. First of all we are very excited to be working with the people of onetruth.com They have a very unique ministry , and we are happy to promote them. We are also looking forward to working with no1underground.com.

They just got done working with blindside on their backdrop for the internal storm tour. So look for some new stuff comming up. As many of you may know, Stewart is no longer playing guitar for Leven. We have a new guitarist now, his name is Doug. So be sure and make him feel welcome at the next show.

Hey friends- we got some all ages shows comin up...should be way cool. We got the sweetest friends in the world, some come hang with us. Also, thanks to the bands and venues that support us. We have a blast with ya's.

Leven here, we're all doing well and are very busy. We got some good shows comin up here so be ready to light some fires! Good things are in store. Please be in prayer for our travel, health, jobs, relationships, equipment, and everything else you feel. We need it, Stu's parents are gettin a divorce-(yeah its messed up), be in prayer for that. Also be in prayer for the professional direction of Leven...we want to do this for a living, first as a ministry, but also on a legitimate level, in other words-bringin it! Wether we believe it or not there is so much(Dunamis) power in prayer, when we simply lift our hearts to God concerning our lives and the decisions we make-He honors and blesses it. We may not always "feel" an answer but it is heard and He works. We need it simple as that. He knows the answers and He IS the answer. Life is definately not our way, but seeking His heart in all we do begins the only momentum for change and if its not His change then it's not true change. A big thanks to all who came out to our shows this weekend, it was way cool to meet and hang with everyone-you know who you are. We have alot of closer to home shows coming up so check out our TOUR section of the site. It means so much to us to have great fans, and to the ones we have yet to meet-I cant wait. God has blessed us beyond belief in this ministry, saving us from head on collisions, supernaturally giving us fuel when we were on E, giving us a van for $900 and letting us travel over 100,000 miles and still going(praise God!), giving us excellent health and energy when we had none, giving us the grace to overcome the hard times, blessing and providing us financially, providing for our every need while playing shows and travelling, being able to touch many hearts and lives through the music and words God gives us, giving us within Leven eachothers friendship and comradery, and the list will forever go on. If you havent been able to hear it from the stage then please hear our heart now- It is because of what God has done through the lives that make up Leven that we are able to rock out with you all. We only hope to show the unconditonal love of Christ to you always, forgive us though cuz sometimes we miss the mark. We are regular guys who slip and fall only to get back up again and be embraced by a loving and merciful God. For without Him in our lives there would never of been a Leven. Hey everybody. well this is Mark again. We are off to C-stone this week leaving only once to play a show in Muscatine, IA. We are playing every day except for thursday at Cornerstone. We added a new show, or i guess i shouldn't say added. We changed it from the show in Centerville, IA to The nexus effect in Cedar Rapids. This is a new all ages venue. Not sure of the location yet, but i do know we are opening up for Pax217 and the Blank Theory. Both of these bands do a good job at what they do. Pax217 was one of the bands featured on the Main stage at cornerstone last year so it will be fun to see how they are on a smaller scale. We are pleased to announce that stewart is staying in the band and we will continue to write new music and perform the same great music we have thus far. We are entering the studio the second week in July to finish a full length album due out late July/ beginning Aug. We have tons of new material that God has blessed us with, and we are very excited about this summer. We are playing quite a bit out of state this summer, but keep checking the web site for updates on new show in your area, we are always booking new shows. Hey guys, Mark here from Leven trying to give you guys an update of whats all been happening with us. Well this weekend was a pretty busy one. We ended up playing two shows on sat, one on fri, and of course the motorhead show on Thursday. We have written some new material so if you haven't been to show lately be sure and get on out and tells me what you think of it. Hopefully we will get enough material written so we can get in the studio and record a full-length for next year. Looking forward to that, I always love getting in the studio and recording stuff! Well we got some shows coming up here in May and a couple in June, and then we are going to take a break and finalize a couple things. All right guys, So leven is playing with motorhead. So for all of you die hard metal heads, get on out to 3rd St. live on the 1st of May and support Leven and the other bands there. Success at Reverb:
Leven won the first annual battle of the bands at the Reverb in Cedar Falls, IA. Leven would like to thank everyone that came out and supported throughout it all! We couldn't have done it without you. Since Leven won, you should see a full length coming out late summer early fall.

Leven won the first round for the battle of the bands. Thanks to EVERYONE who came out and supported and voted for us. Leven will be playing on April 5th for the battle of the bands finals. We need EVERYONE at the Reverb on the 5th in order to win this thing. Thanks again to everyone that came out.

Looking for a guitar player:
Stewart has decided to leave the band to pursue other aspirations. We are sad to see our brother go, but wish him the very best and wish him peace and grace from us and God in what is to come for this next stage he is entering. Stew has been a great asset and we will miss him very much, but Leven is more than just its members. Leven is an ideal and a means to something greater than its members. Leven will continue to make passionate music that touches the listener and inspires hope in people. This is not the end of Leven, but the beginning of something fresh and new. We are excited for what is to come and encourage our fans to expect the same and to keep us in their prayers. Stew is staying with us for the next three months, to finish out the shows we have listed in the tour section. We urge you all to come out to as many of those shows as possible.

We are currently looking for a guitarist to fill the position. We are looking specifically for someone who can play the existing material we play live as well as someone who can write fresh new material, sing, and has a huge amount of energy to bring to the band. That person has to be able to travel and tour about 8-12 shows a month and practice nights. We would love to have someone who is behind the ideal we live for of perfect love through Jesus and death to our selfishness. We all contribute to the writing process and would like a guitarist with a wide range of styles from melodic to technical to hardcore.
